Instead, in Weardeal, County Durham, lives a 65-year-old lady who made her hers loyalty to the Crown a real mission and has racked up beyond 12 thousand objects depicting Elizabeth “the Great”, as she calls her, on cardboard, teapots, tea mats and even car stickers. It is the largest collection in the world of memorabilia on officially recognized Queen Elizabeth.
The most faithful subject is called Anita Atkinson and on the occasion of the year of Platinum Jubilee he took his “Crown Jewels” out of the boxes and displayed them on his farm. Each object is a reminder of an important moment, but some, souvenirs from previous anniversaries, have a special place in Anita’s heart.
