Here’s who is Queen Elizabeth’s biggest fan

That the Queen Elizabeth is loved by his people is an undeniable reality. But that there are subjects who are (positively) obsessed it is not so obvious. Instead, in Weardeal, County Durham, lives a 65-year-old lady who made her hers loyalty to the Crown a real mission and has racked up beyond 12 thousand objects depicting Elizabeth “the Great”, as she calls her, on cardboard, teapots, tea mats and even car stickers. It is the largest collection in the world of memorabilia on officially recognized Queen Elizabeth.

The most faithful subject is called Anita Atkinson and on the occasion of the year of Platinum Jubilee he took his “Crown Jewels” out of the boxes and displayed them on his farm. Each object is a reminder of an important moment, but some, souvenirs from previous anniversaries, have a special place in Anita’s heart.

«I attended the silver Jubilee, then the gold one and then the diamond one. But this year’s will be unattainableI’m sure, “said Anita, former magistrate, former editor of a newspaper, and now grandmother of 5 grandchildren, who was always in London for the anniversary.

For the Platinum Jubilee, however, Anita will not be in the capital. She will celebrate the event in a way that she feels the most useful: will help manage a temporary tea room together with people with learning difficulties in Bishop Auckland, and then he will throw a big party on his farm. To which the Queen, even if in hardback version, will not fail to participate.
