Hezbollah claims to have fired more than 60 rockets into northern Israel

The Lebanese group Hezbollah claimed this Thursday (16) to have launched more than 60 rockets against different targets in northern Israel. The group said the shooting was “in response to attacks by the Israeli enemy last night in the Bekaa region” of Lebanon.

Hezbollah claimed to have carried out a missile attack with “more than 60 Katyusha rockets against the leadership of the Golan 210 division [das Forças de Defesa de Israel] in Nafah, the air defense barracks in Keila and the northern region support artillery in Yoav.”

The Israel Defense Forces said “approximately 40 launches were identified crossing from Lebanon toward the Golan Heights.”

“Several launches were successfully intercepted by the IDF Aerial Defense Array. No injuries were reported. The Israel Defense Forces hit the fire sources.”

In addition, five launches were detected from Lebanese territory towards the Zarit area. There were no injuries, the Israel Defense Forces said.

The Israeli fighter jets “attacked one of the military posts from which they were fired,” and the IDF also hit two other Hezbollah military structures.
