Production company LD Entertainment released last Wednesday (4) the trailer for “High Tide “, film starring Marco Pigossi and directed by her husband, Marco Calvani . The production does not yet have confirmed distribution in Brazil.
Pigossi and Calvani recently tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Tuscany, Italy. The wedding came after the couple formalized their civil union in São Paulo at the end of 2023. Pigossi and Calvani announced their relationship in November 2021, during the American Thanksgiving (Thanksgiving Day, in translation).
According to the official synopsis, the film follows Lourenço (Pigossi), a Brazilian with an expiring visa who feels desolate after his American boyfriend unexpectedly leaves him alone in Provincetown. While he finds himself lost and distressed about his uncertain future, he meets Maurice (James Bland from “Insecure “), a nurse who also feels out of place. Together, they form an unexpected connection.
The film also features the winner of the Oscar Marisa Tomei (“Spider-Man: No Way Home “) and Mya Taylor (“Tangerine “) in the cast.
The film is produced by Calvani, who also wrote the script. “High Tide” was shown exclusively at the beginning of the year on South by Southwest Festival (SXSW), but there is still no release date set for Brazil.
