Despite the drop compared to January of last year, housing transactions -that totaled 39,753 operations- rebounded in January 2021 by 10.1% compared to a month earlier, December, according to data published by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).

This new year-on-year decrease occurs after the sale of homes closed 2020, a year that was fully impacted by the pandemic of coronavirus, with a fall of 17.7%, its biggest adjustment since 2011 and the second consecutive year of declines.
