HONOR introduced 70 Pro and 70 Pro +: with Dimensity 8000, 54 MP and charging in half an hour

Today, May 30, HONOR officially introduced the flagship smartphones 70 Pro and Pro + – they are very similar to each other (they differ mainly in processors) and instantly attract attention with an interesting case design. At the same time, the company considers the original HONOR 70 smartphone an affordable version of the flagship line.

HONOR 70 Pro+

The performance of this smartphone is based on the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor, manufactured using a 4 nm process technology. This chip is based on a powerful Cortex-X2 core clocked at 3.05 GHz, three A710 cores and four A510 cores, while the Mali-G710 MC10 acts as a GPU. In addition, the system-on-a-chip is equipped with a new 6GHz 5G modem, plus 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. In addition, the top version of the flagship received a 6.78-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a 10-bit color space palette.

The main camera of the smartphone is equipped with a 54MP Sony IMX800 image sensor with f/1.9 aperture, while the 50MP wide-angle camera is also suitable for macro photography. Rounding out the camera list is an 8MP zoom lens with 3x optical zoom with OIS support. The manufacturer considers the charging speed of the device to be a separate bonus – Pro smartphones work on charging power up to 100 watts. Thanks to this, the device charges up to 60% in 15 minutes, and up to 100% in 30 minutes.

The base 70 Pro+ (8/256 GB) costs $645 in China, the 12 GB version costs $690 and is scheduled to go on sale June 16.

HONOR 70 Pro

It’s worth noting that the hardware on the 70 Pro is almost exactly the same as the 70 Pro+. For example, the displays, cameras, batteries, and fast charging technology of the gadgets are absolutely identical. The main difference in the processor is that the “regular” Pro version is equipped with a Dimensity 8000 processor, which is produced using a 5 nm process technology. It is considered a mid-ranger with Cortex-A78/A55 cores and Mali-G610 MC6 GPU. However, this model has a version with 512 GB of internal memory – the flagship has only 256 GB.

For this gadget, the manufacturer requested $555 (8/256 GB version), the 12/256 GB version costs about $599, and the top-end 12/512 GB version will cost $659. The first smartphones will go on sale in China on June 10.
