Hotels with an average occupancy of 28.2% operated in the quarter December – February

With an average occupancy of 28.2% and an average selling price of the double room at 48 euros, the hotels in the country operated in the quarter December 2021 – February 2022, as shown by a weekly survey of the ITEP on behalf of the Hotel Chamber of Greece (XEE).

In particular, according to the survey, in the quarter from December 1, 2021 to February 28, 2022, which is the highest period in terms of traffic for hotels in the mountains, 79.3% of hotels were open, while 1 in 5 did not operated, choosing to remain closed.

The average occupancy rate in open hotels was 28.2%, which with the reduction of all hotels in continuous operation, becomes 21.3%.

Greek hotels in the quarter December 2021 – February 2022, operated with an average occupancy of 28.2% and an average price of a double room of 48 euros,

More specifically, the percentages of open hotels per month are as follows:

– December 2021: 80.7%
– January 2022: 79.2%
– February 2022: 78.1%

The fullness in the open hotels and with reduction in total, are as follows:

– December 2021: 31.8% – 24.8% (open – total)
– January 2022: 22.7% – 16.3%
– February 2022: 30% – 22.7%

The evolution of the average price for a double room, according to the research, is as follows:

– December 2021: 53 euros
– January 2022: 45 euros
– February 2022: 47 euros
