Immunefi analysts claim that the volume of stolen funds from companies and organizations increased by 15% compared to the first two months of 2023. 32 incidents related to attacks by cybercriminals were recorded.
Most often, projects operating on the Ethereum network are hacked. A total of 8% of the stolen funds came from the Ethereum ecosystem, Immunefi experts say.
In February, criminals managed to steal digital currencies and fiat money worth $67 million; compared to January, the volume of stolen assets decreased by 50% (then companies and users lost $133 million).
Immunefi experts point to a trend: hackers are increasingly trying to hack decentralized trading platforms and protocols.
Previously, Hacken specialists summed up cybersecurity and fraud incidents among crypto projects in 2023. Hackers managed to steal about $1.9 billion.
