Six years and two months in prison will be spent by a married teacher, who was convicted for having sex with a 15-year-old student in a field, while sending him topless photos of her via Snapchat. The sentence of the 35-year-old was announced today, while at the end of January he was found guilty of the above offenses.
The married mother of three children will be found behind the bars of the prison, after the court decision, as broadcast by the British Sun.
The teacher was acquitted of two other charges against her in the case.
The jurors heard during the trial how the teacher started sending messages to the student in 2018, when he got his phone number at a school sporting event.
Her messages soon acquired “sexual content” and later 35-year-old Kandice Barber took the student in her car and drove him to a field where they had sex.
The teacher continued to send obscene messages to the boy, even while he was teaching in the classroom. Among the photos she had sent him were a selfie from the shower and one with her crouching on a bed.
The 35-year-old encouraged him to delete the messages she was sending him, but the young man kept them. She then “threatened” him that he would destroy him if he denounced her and that she would accuse him of rape.
During the trial, it also became known that the 35-year-old was holding a hidden folder with sexy photos on her cell phone with the name “for his eyes only”.
It is noted that her husband has previously stated that he supports her 100%, insisting that their marriage is “stronger than ever”.
