By decision of the Deputy Minister of Development and Investment Mr. Ioannis Tsakiris was signed by the Special Secretariat for Program Management ERDF & TA on 06-05-2022, the Inclusion of the Act “Construction of Waste Transfer Stations (SMA) in the Peloponnese Region” in the Business Transfer Program , Environment and Sustainable Development 2014-2020 “and in the Priority Axis” CONSERVATION AND PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT – PROMOTION OF EFFICIENT USE OF RESOURCES (CF) “.
The proposed act concerns the construction of seven (7) Waste Transfer Stations (SMA) in the Peloponnese Region in order to cover the needs of transhipment of waste from the served Municipalities to the final recipients in accordance with the provisions of the Peloponnese PESDA.
In particular, the project concerns the construction of the following SMAs:
• Agia Theodoros SMA, for the transhipment of the waste of the Municipality of Loutraki – Agios Theodoros – Perachora to the central SMA of Corinth
• SMA of North Kynouria, for the transhipment of the waste of the Municipality of North Kynouria to the central SMA of Argolida
• SMA of South Kynouria, for the transhipment of the waste of the Municipality of South Kynouria to the central SMA of Argolida
• SMA of Monemvasia – Location Cheroma, for the transhipment of the waste of the southern part of the Municipality of Monemvasia to OEDA Laconia
• SMA West Mani, for the transhipment of waste from the Municipality of West Mani to OEDA Messinia
• SMA Elafonisos, for the transfer of waste of the Municipality of Elafonisos to OEDA Laconia
• SMA Kalamata – Messina, for the transhipment of waste from the Municipalities of Kalamata and Messina to OEDA Messinia
The beneficiary of the project is the Regional Association of Solid Waste Management Bodies (FODSA) of the Peloponnese Region, while the start date of the Operation is set at 01/09/2022 and the end date is 31/12/2023.
The total eligible public expenditure of the Act amounts to 10,845,000.00.
