The team of the popular messenger WhatsApp made a new convenient feature available to test participants – now you can send photos without heavy compression.
A little over a week ago, the upcoming innovation was noticed in WhatsApp 2.21.14.16 for Android, but it was not yet possible to test it, and now the function has begun to be distributed and is available for testing in beta version 2.21.15.8.
Users of the beta version of WhatsApp can now choose in what quality to send photos. In the Data and Storage settings section, the options are Auto, Best quality, and Data saver.
Enthusiasts who have already tried the innovation note that the difference between the past economical compression and the new “Best Quality” is very small in terms of image resolution and size: 0.9 megapixel (720 x 1280) at 80 KB and 1.4 megapixel (899 x 1599) at 113 KB.
