RWE AG announced that adjusted net income and earnings increased in the nine months, and confirmed estimates for 2021.
The German energy company announced that the adjusted net profit amounted to 1.03 billion euros for the period, compared to 794 million euros a year ago.
Adjusted EBITDA stood at 2.40 billion euros compared to 2.26 billion euros.
Adjusted earnings before taxes and interest increased to 1.34 billion euros from 1.18 billion euros a year ago.
The results were positive despite the impact of the weather (extreme cold in Texas) at the beginning of the year.
RWE stressed that gross investment in new wind energy, solar power plants and batteries amounted to 2.5 billion euros in the nine months, showing an increase of 80% on an annual basis.
For the full year, RWE confirmed that it is targeting adjusted net profits of 1.05-1.4 billion euros.
Adjusted EBITDA is expected at 3-3.4 billion euros, while adjusted EBIT is expected at 1.5-1.9 billion euros.
The company plans to increase the dividend for 2021 to 0.90 euros.
