India – Coronavirus: Outbreaks – Over 14,000 new infections recorded in one day

The coronavirus is on alert due to a new outbreak India as the cases recorded in the previous twenty-four hours exceed 14,000.

The Federal Ministry of Health of India announced today Friday (29/10) that 14,348 cases of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in the previous 24 hours and 805 patients with COVID-19 died. Most of the deaths (708) were recorded in the southern state of Kerala, which has become the epicenter of the pandemic in recent times.

The so-called active cases, as broadcast by the Athens News Agency, increased to 161,334 (+345 in 24 hours).

The death toll has reached 457,191

With 457,191 deaths out of a total of 34,246,157 infections since the pandemic broke out in the territory of, the subcontinent of 1.3 billion inhabitants records the third heaviest casualty in the world in absolute terms, behind the US and Brazil, and the second highest number of cases, behind only the US, according to official data.
