The Consumer Price Index (IPC), which measures inflation in the city of São Paulo, increased 0.47% in November, accelerating after the high of 0.45% registered in October, but losing strength in relation to the increase of 0 .53% verified in the third quadrissemana of last month, according to data published this Friday (2) by the Economic Research Institute Foundation (Fipe).
The November result was at the bottom of the projections of market institutions consulted by Projeções Broadcast, up from 0.47% to 0.60%, and was below the median of the estimates, of 0.56%.
Between January and November, the IPC-Fipe accumulated inflation of 6.75%. In the period of 12 months until November, the index advanced 7.36%.
In November, four of the seven components gained strength in relation to the result of the previous month: Transport (from 0.18% to 0.87%); Personal Expenses (from 0.68% to 0.71%); Health (from 1.14% to 1.17%); and Clothing (from 0.65% to 1.39%).
On the other hand, the Housing, Food and Education categories lost strength. The first went from high of 0.01% to a fall of 0.09%, while Food reduced from high of 0.87% to advance of 0.47%. Finally, Education increased from 0.17% to 0.12%.
