Intel has released several flavors of the base kit for NUC X15 laptops with Tiger Lake processors, preliminary information about which appeared last month.
Kits without RAM and storage are for system integrators only and are not intended to be sold directly to consumers, so availability and pricing data are not available. Intel is known to offer a choice between Core i5-11400H and i7-11800H processors, and the graphics card can be Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 or RTX 3070. Two memory slots can accommodate up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM. In the case of the Core i5-11400H processor, DDR4-2933 memory is supported, in the case of the Core i7-11800H – DDR4-3200. There are two M.2 slots for storage. One of them has a PCIe Gen4 x4 interface, and the other – PCIe Gen3 x4 and SATA 6 Gb / s.
The 15.6-inch display can be Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) or QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels). The Full HD panel is available in 144 and 240 Hz versions. The QHD panel supports 165Hz. In all cases, this is an IPS panel. Equipped with an RGB mechanical keyboard, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2 Gen 2, 2.5GbE and HDMI 2.1, as well as an SDXC memory card slot and a camera with Windows Hello support. The battery capacity is 94 Wh. With dimensions of 357 x 235 x 21.65 mm, the laptop weighs no more than 1.94 kg.
