Former Minister of Education Milton Ribeiro told his daughter that he would be the target of a search and seizure, information that the former minister would have obtained through a call received from the President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro (PL). The process has around 1,800 tapped conversations.
“The only thing kinda…the President of the Republic called me…he’s got a feeling again, that they might want to reach him through me, you know? It’s just that I’ve been sending him verses, right?”, he said.
The daughter then asks him: “Ah! Does he want you to stop texting?”
And Ribeiro replies: “No! It’s not that… he thinks they’re going to do a search and seizure… at home… you know… it’s… it’s very sad. Good! It can happen, right? If there are any signs…”
According to the Federal Police (PF), the transcripts of the conversations suggest that Milton Ribeiro was aware of the execution of the search and seizure at his residence and of external concern with Pastors Gilmar and Arilton.
“Our attention was drawn to the concern and almost identical speech that Milton had with Waldemiro and Adolfo and, above all, the accuracy of Milton’s statement when reporting to his daughter”, said police chief Bruno Calandrini.
For the PF, “the indications of leakage are credible and need further investigation given the seriousness of the fact investigated here”.
