Iran today fired several ballistic missiles at various targets in the southern part of the country, on the last day of the exercises organized by the Revolutionary Guards.
“The high schools were organized in response to the threats posed by the Zionist regime in recent days,” General Mohammad Bagheri, chief of staff of the armed forces, was quoted as saying by state television.
“Sixteen missiles were aimed at and destroyed the selected target. During the exercises, a section of hundreds of Iranian missiles was developed that can destroy any country that dares to attack Iran,” he added.
For his part, General Hossein Salami, head of the Revolutionary Guards, the ideological army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said that “the military high schools under the name ‘Great Prophet’ are a serious warning to Zionist officials. “They are making the slightest mistake, we will cut off their hand,” he said.
For five days, various units of the Revolutionary Guards participated in high schools in three provinces in the southern part of the country as well as on three islands claimed by Iran and the United Arab Emirates.
