Israel hit UN forces in Lebanon and… doesn’t care – “Let them go elsewhere”

A serious issue has arisen following Israel’s attack on UN forces in Lebanon, with an Israeli diplomat claiming the Blue Helmets were responsible for being in their positions. “Our recommendation is that UNIFIL be moved 5 kilometers further north to avoid danger as the fighting intensifies and as long as the situation along the Blue Line remains volatile due to Hezbollah’s aggression,” said Israeli UN Ambassador Danny Danon. The Israeli diplomat added that his country “does not wish to be in Lebanon but will do whatever is necessary” to expel Hezbollah from its northern border. According to UNIFIL, the attack on the blue-collar workers does not appear to be a random strike, as the Israelis knew from the beginning that there were no Hezbollah forces there.
