The two Palestinian perpetrators of the attack that took place on Thursday in Greece, in central Israel, from which three Israelis were killed, were arrested, the police announced today.
“The two terrorists who killed three Israeli civilians in the deadly attack in the city of Greece have been arrested,” the Israeli police, army and Shin Bet (internal security service) said in a joint statement.
Israeli forces launched a massive operation in search of the two perpetrators of the attack, which was launched on the day of the 74th anniversary of the founding of the Jewish state, in which two Palestinians attacked passers-by with knives and axes in a park.
The two men were identified by police as 19-year-old Assad Youssef al-Rafai and 20-year-old Sobhi Imed Abu Sukair. They were located in Greece.
This is the sixth anti-Israel attack since March 22 in Greece, a city of about 50,000 people, many of them Orthodox, near Tel Aviv.
