Israeli army says it hit Hamas leader’s residence in Gaza

The Israeli military said the home of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was hit by an airstrike in the Gaza Strip.

The army released a video showing a large explosion, which it said showed the house being destroyed.

Haniyeh has not lived in Gaza for several years.

Elsewhere, in the Al-Shati refugee camp in northern Gaza, the Israeli military said it had located and destroyed weapons belonging to Hamas naval forces, including diving equipment and explosive devices. The army said it took control of the refugee camp on Tuesday (14).

A CNN cannot independently confirm the Israeli army’s claims.
