Israel's military says it has killed a senior Hezbollah official in an airstrike

Israel's military announced today that it killed Ali Abdel Hassan Naim, deputy commander of Hezbollah's rocket and missile unit, in an airstrike in the Lebanese city of Bazouriye. “A little earlier today an Israeli air force aircraft (…) neutralized Ali Abdel Hasan Naim, deputy commander of Hezbollah's rocket and missile unit in the Bazouriye region,” the Israeli military said in a statement. This Hezbollah operative was “responsible for conducting and planning attacks against Israeli civilians,” the same source added. Earlier, a Lebanese military source said a “key figure” of the Lebanese Shiite Hezbollah movement was killed in a hit to his car in southern Lebanon, blaming Israel.
