“I knew this day would come, but it will be a while before the reality of life without grandma feels real.”
He thanked the fact that he had lived with “the wisdom” of Elizabeth II for more than four decades, and the fact that his wife, Kate Middleton, and their three children had lived with the Queen.
“I thank her for the kindness she has shown my family and me. And I thank her on behalf of my generation for providing an example of service and dignity in her public life,” she said.
My grandmother popularly said that grief is the price we pay for love. All the sadness we will feel in the coming weeks will be a testament to the love we feel for our extraordinary Queen.
I will honor his memory by supporting my father the King in any way I can.
