The number of missing has reached 20, according to the Italian authorities after the tragedy that occurred yesterday (3/7) due to the detachment of a large ice sheet in the Dolomite Alps.
At the same time, six people lost their lives and 9 were injured. Two of the injured are in a serious condition and were immediately taken to the hospital, while a 9-year-old child also lost his life.

The searches of the rescue crews, according to the Athens News Agency, continue in the effort to locate the missing. According to the Italian media, it is very difficult to find survivors and it is feared that in the end the death toll may exceed thirty.
The Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi and the head of the Italian Civil Protection Service, Fabrizio Curzio, are currently going to the Cannazei site, where the coordination center for the assistance has been set up.
