Italy: 44 deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours

The last twenty-four hours, in Italy 2,949 cases of coronavirus were recorded and 44 people lost their lives.

This is the lowest number of deaths since October 15, 2020. As of yesterday, the number of infections was 3,351, with 83 deaths. In total, 164,495 diagnostic tests were performed, 1.8% of which were positive. Yesterday, the corresponding percentage was 1.4%.

There are 34 fewer patients in the intensive care units of the country than yesterday, while in the hospital wards they are 209 less. The regions of Italy with the most daily cases are Lombardy (458), Campania (385) with Naples as its capital and Sicily (348).

From tomorrow, three regions of the country (the one with its capital in Trieste, Sardinia and the small region of Molise) will be transformed into a “white zone”, with only mandatory measures to prevent the use of the mask, safety distance and frequent hand washing.

From June 15, finally, the receptions for weddings and baptisms start again. There will be no limit on the number of guests, but everyone should bring a molecular test or have had the vaccine (at least the first dose, two weeks before the mystery) or have received a medical certificate that they have cured by covid 19.
