According to the Italian polling company GDC, the center-left Democratic Party and the far-right “Brothers of Italy”, five weeks before the parliamentary elections on September 25, convince almost the same percentage of voters.
In more detail, the poll presented today shows that the “democrats” receive 23.6% of the voting intention, while the extreme right 23.4%.
The third political force, in this phase, in the preferences of Italians is the League, with a percentage of 12.3%. They are followed by the Five Star Movement with 10.7% and Silvio Berlusconi’s Forza Italia, with 7.5% of the voting intention. At the moment, the new centrist alliance of former Prime Minister Matteo Renzi with former Minister of Economic Development Carlo Calenda, does not exceed 5.1%.
3.4% of respondents intend to support the electoral cooperation of the Italian Left with the Greens (forces that signed an electoral alliance with the center-left).
According to a series of other opinion polls, however, the conservative alliance (Lega, Forza Italia and Adelfia of Italy) maintains a lead over the center-left and its allies, which exceeds ten percentage points.
