THE Italian police arrested one today 64 year old retired German army officer who is linked to the far-right organization allegedly preparing the violent overthrow of the democratic state in Germanyit says in a statement.
The police announced that the man was arrested in a hotel in the city of Perugia, where “material related to the subversive activity” of the organization was found.
In the statement it is stated, according to APE-MPE, that procedures have begun for the extradition of the suspect.
It is recalled that in one of the largest police investigations in the area of the extreme right in Germany25 men and women, members of it, were arrested earlier today terrorist organization “Citizens of the Reich” (Reichsbürger)which had as its ultimate goal the violent overthrow of the government and planned, among other things, an armed invasion of the federal parliament and political arrests.
