Jens Spann: The Social Democrats are for the wealthy, not the average German

The center of the German capital was used by Christian Democrat (CDU) politician Jens Spann as an example to delimit his party from the left, as it is expensive, where government buildings are located and politicians, senior government officials gather and the university ones, that is, it gathers the rich rather than the average Germans.

“The Social Democratic Party (SPD), I have the impression, wants to turn Germany into a kind of big center of Berlin. This party is looking less and less towards the center of society and more towards the bourgeois academics. “This is the case with all three left-wing parties (including the Greens and the Left Party),” the federal health minister told Die Welt, according to the Athenian News Agency. THE Jens Span gave this answer when asked if one can characterize today as a large multi-party party the CDU, whose percentage now amounts (according to opinion polls) to just over 20%. “It certainly is,” he added after criticizing the left-wing parties.

Social Democrat Federal Labor Minister and SPD Vice President Hubertus Hale reacted ironically to Span. “It’s true: our secret plan predicts that every municipality with more than 1,000 inhabitants in Germany will get a Brandenburg Gate and a television tower as well as a Reichstag building,” he said sharply on Twitter.
