There is something magical about JLo’s glowy skin, without a trace of wrinkles, spots and laxity. At 53 last July, the pop star, actress and business woman it shows itself often and willingly on Instagram in soap and water version, perhaps by promoting this or that cosmetic from her JLo Beauty skincare line. And every time – let’s face it – seeing her natural skin causes us a mixture of envy and admiration. Today, however, we know that Ben Affleck’s wife (also) relies on one homemade drink to promote the well-being of your skin. Let’s find out more.
JLo’s favorite drink
It seems like JLo sips every day, several times a day ginger tea flavored with lemon slices. Obviously without added sugar (never, JLo is super healthy, in case you didn’t know!). Recently we saw a photo gallery showing the dress she wore for a charity event including a shot of a drink (with lemon slices included) and the hashtag #gingervibezz taken from many of her fanpages, even if on profile of the star is now no longer visible.
But what are the beneficial properties of this ingredient? As you remember Angela Noviello, head of the beauty division of Milano Estetica«derived from the oriental Camelia Sinensis plant, tea comes in different forms that derive from the various fermentation processes. Considered a powerful antioxidant since centuries past, tea is very rich in beneficial polyphenolic substances with a strong anti-free radical activity. It is no coincidence that today it is studied and sought after by cosmetic companies, which use it as a base for masks, soins, peelings and scrubs. If the properties of tea are added to those of ginger, the anti-inflammatory effect is doubled. Even the lemon makes its precious contribution: very rich in vitamin C, this citrus fruit promotes the luminosity of the complexion, with a triple lightening, revitalizing and uniforming effect». You got it JLo!
