A judge from the Domestic Violence Court of Itu (interior of São Paulo) issued an order authorizing businessman Alexandre Correa to visit his son, the result of his marriage to presenter Ana Hickmann. The visit, however, must take place in the presence of third parties.
The businessman’s defense informed the CNN who has already contacted Ana Hickmann’s lawyers and has not heard back. After the judge’s new decision, his lawyer said that Correa hopes to see his son this weekend.
In the letter, the judge informs that contact between the father and the child must be made through third parties until a visitation regime is established in the competent Family Court. The decision was taken “in order to avoid obvious harm to the child”, as reported in the document.
Initially, Ana Hickmann refused protective measures after denouncing her husband. She later sought justice and obtained protection. According to the document, it was stipulated that Alexandre “not approach or access the victim’s workplace, in addition to demanding that he leave the home.”
The businessman had already asked for the protective measure to be revoked and filed a lawsuit against the presenter for parental alienation. According to the defense, Alexandre has not seen his son since November 11th. The lawyer states that the businessman wants custody to remain with the mother, but wants the right to regulate visits.
A CNN contacted Ana Hickmann’s advisor and has not yet received a response.
Understand the case
The presenter filed a police report against Correa on November 11th. She said she was attacked by him at the family home in Itu, in the interior of São Paulo.
Hickmann told police that he was talking to his 10-year-old son in the kitchen of the house when Correa overheard and didn’t like the subject. So he started an argument. The child, scared, would have run out of the room, according to her.
Correa allegedly pushed his wife against the wall and threatened to headbutt her, according to information contained in the police report. He denied the accusations on social media.
During the argument, Correa closed the kitchen door, hitting Hickmann, according to the report. She used the situation to lock her husband out of the room and call the Military Police, but the businessman was no longer there when the agents arrived.
At the police station, when giving a statement and registering a report for assault, Hickmann refused the protective measures provided for in the Maria de Penha Law.
