Judge Gisele Guida de Faria, of the 1st Specialized Court in Crimes against Children and Adolescents (Veca), in Rio de Janeiro, accepted, this Friday (23), a complaint from the Public Ministry against actor José Dumont, arrested in the act, on September 15, accused of storing 240 photos and videos of child pornography, according to an investigation by the Civil Police.
His arrest was transferred to pretrial detention after a custody hearing on September 16.
In testimony, Dumont stated that he stored the images because he would carry out a work involving the subject.
However, according to investigations, he would have taken advantage of the prestige of being an actor with more than 40 years of career and national recognition to attract the attention of a 12-year-old teenager, who was his fan, to develop a relationship. next. With that, the suspect would have made advances with kisses on the mouth and intimate caresses that were captured by cameras, which started the investigations.
Globo removed the actor from the cast of Todas as Flores, a soap opera that was being produced for Globoplay. In a statement, the broadcaster stated that “no abusive and criminal behavior is tolerated by the company”.
