Justin bieber announced this Friday (10) that he will postpone his concert schedule because he is suffering from paralysis on one side of his face.
In a video posted to your verified account on Instagram the singer explained that he has Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, which has left him unable to move half his face and, as a consequence, unable to go on stage.
“I have the syndrome called Ramsay Hunt because of a virus that attacks the nerves in my ear and my facial nerves, causing my face to become paralyzed,” the artist explained.
“As you can see, that eye is not blinking. I can’t smile on this side of my face, that nostril doesn’t move. There is complete paralysis on this side of my face.”
According to the Mayo Clinic, Ramsay Hunt syndrome “occurs when an outbreak of shingles affects a facial nerve near one of the ears. In addition to the painful rash, Ramsay Hunt syndrome can cause facial paralysis and hearing loss.”
Bieber gave the video to fans who have been frustrated with the recent cancellations of his shows and said he “physically, obviously, is not able to do them.”
“This is very serious, as you can see. I wish that wasn’t the case, but obviously my body is telling me I have to slow down,” she pointed out. “I hope you understand. I will use this time to rest and relax to come back 100% to do what I was born to do.”
He thanked his fans for being patient and said he is already doing facial exercises to help with his recovery. The musician, however, does not know how long the process will take, but earlier this week, three of his upcoming performances were postponed. “I’ll be fine,” he assured her. “I have hope and trust in God.”
Biber’s wife had a mini-stroke
In March of this year, his wife Hailey Bieber was hospitalized due to a small clot in her brain. The model later explained that she had suffered a mini-stroke due to a small hole in her heart, from which the clot had traveled to her brain. She underwent surgery to close the space, which she had to be 12 to 13 millimeters.
