K. Hatzidakis: The programs that will create 86,000 new jobs through OAED have started this year

The planning of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and OAED for the creation of 86,000 jobs in 2022, which was presented to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis last week, is entering the implementation trajectory.

According to an announcement of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, from Monday, January 17, the submission of applications for the first of the 11 new employment programs of OAED that will “run” this year and concerns the subsidy of companies for the employment of 4,000 unemployed, aged 30 years and over, with emphasis on women, in the most developed Regions of the country, based on the criteria of the European Commission and, more specifically, in the regional units of the Western Sector of Athens, Western Attica and Piraeus and the South Aegean Region. Applications will be submitted until February 17, at 15:00.

In this context, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Kostis Hatzidakis and the Governor of OAED Spyros Protopsaltis, visited the Greek food industry ELVIDA TROFIMA SA, based in Peristeri, has an export orientation and employs 14 employees. many of whom are highly qualified graduates.

According to the announcement, Messrs. Hatzidakis and Protopsaltis met with employees who found work in the company, through the programs, who expressed satisfaction with their cooperation with OAED and the positive outcome for them, especially given that some of them did not have high expectations that they would find a job. , through the Agency, and, for this reason, they were also looking for work through other channels. The employees, drawing on their experience so far, also made suggestions for the improvement of the design of the new programs of OAED in the direction of simplification and acceleration of the procedures. For its part, the company’s management team pointed out that OAED’s programs facilitated recruitment, especially during the difficult period of the pandemic, emphasizing that it plans to keep most of the beneficiaries even after the end of the subsidy from OAED.

Program information

According to the announcement, the program, with a budget of 26 million euros, has a duration of 12 months and is aimed at companies that have not reduced their staff in the quarter before the application and have not received funding from state aid over 200,000 euros in the previous three years (current year and two previous ones).

Beneficiaries are unemployed people aged 30 and over, registered in the OAED register for a period of at least one month during their appointment by the relevant Employment Promotion Center (KPA2).

The amounts of the salary subsidy and insurance contributions for the employment of the unemployed in new full-time positions are as follows:

– 466.5 euros per month / 5,598 euros per year for the unemployed aged 30-49.

– 559.8 euros per month / 6,717.6 euros per year for the unemployed aged 50 and over.

– 606.45 euros per month / 7,277.4 euros per year for the long-term unemployed 30 years and older.

– 653.1 euros per month / 7,837.2 euros per year for the long-term unemployed aged 50 and over.

– 699.75 euros per month / 8,397 euros per year for unemployed women aged 30 and over.

The companies will submit their application exclusively electronically, through the State Aid Information System (PSKE) of the Ministry of Development & Investment http://www.ependyseis.gr/mis. Then, the labor consultants of OAED will nominate candidates to the company, according to the category of unemployed, the specialty and the required qualifications and the company will choose among the candidates for the recruitment.
