“We do not want the economy to close again,” said Kostis Hatzidakis, noting that the government monitors the situation in other countries and relies on the views of experts, in line with what is happening in Europe.
Speaking to SKAI, the Minister of Labor stressed that one of the goals of the government is the expansion of vaccinations, while he pointed out that in general “Greece has not gone worse than the EU average”.
As for the possibility of measures, he said that there will be announcements from the government in the coming days.
For the focus, on the other hand, he said the industry is calling for more relaxation which is in the opposite direction.
“It is one of the sectors that is certainly affected, but it has taken most of the compensation along with tourism. 42 billion euros have been given to support the economy,” he said.
