K-Pop group TWICE’s first release of 2023 has arrived: “Moonlight Sunrise” was released this Friday (20) and features a sexy and fun clip.
In the first single of the mini-album “Our Youth”, which is scheduled for release in March, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu sing entirely in English.
It is the second time since 2021’s “The Feels” which marked the group’s debut on the “Billboard Hot 100” list. The strategy is to reach even more people with the lyrics, but it is worth mentioning that the latest mini album, “Between 1&2”, has lyrics in Korean and reached the top of the Billboard best-selling albums list in September 2022.
In an interview with PEOPLE magazine, TWICE’s leader Jihyo said that the inspiration for the song came from a concert they played in Los Angeles:
“During the tour, we performed under the moonlight and we were dancing. The composer of this song was there and thought our performance was so beautiful that it became the inspiration for this song,” he said.

The closeness between the members is also well known by fans, the so-called ONCEs. In an interview with CNN Brasil, JY Park told the story behind the song “Feel Special”:
“At that time, Sana was going through a difficult situation and I saw how the other members supported her and it touched my heart. I wrote the song in honor of their friendship,” she said.
