A pastor in Kansas, USA, it is accused that tried to kill his wife and five children in their home. Then and according to the police, he allegedly tried to set the house on fire.
Five categories for attempted first degree murder and one category for arson with risk of bodily harm charge 41-year-old Matthew Richards, who is being held at the Shawnee Police Department in Kansas. All of his charges are for the September 16th incident.
His five children, including a 19-year-old and four minors, and his wife suffered “hack wounds of various degrees,” according to a press release from the Shawnee Police Department. Shawnee police and firefighters responded to reports of a disturbance and fire at the pastor’s home at 3:47 a.m. on September 16.
Firefighters found a fire in the basement of the house and extinguished it “quickly”. Authorities transported the five victims and Richards to the hospital for treatmentin accordance with foxnews.com.

THE senior pastor of the church issued a statement in response to the incident on September 16, saying the church was “aware of the situation involving Pastor Matt Richards.”
“We are gathering more information and will have a full statement at a later date. Please be respectful of this situation as this is still an ongoing investigation. And please join us in praying for the Richards family during this time“, he wrote himself.
The investigation into the attempted murder is ongoing. Richards is being held on bail 5 million dollars.
