A 39-year-old man was the target of arrows fired by a neighbor and used a shotgun to try to shoot him on Sunday (17), in the city of Bom Jesus do Galho, in Minas Gerais. The information was confirmed to CNN by the State Civil Police and Military Police.
To the police, the victim claimed that there was no apparent reason for the 43-year-old man to hit him with arrows. A passerby assisted him and took him to Hospital Saúde Brasil.
Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later transferred to Nossa Senhora Auxiliadora Hospital.
In a statement, the PM stated that they were looking for the man who fired the arrows, who had fled along a road in the region to seek shelter with relatives. According to the corporation, there are previous records of conflicts between the two men, which include a situation in which the shooter was the victim and another circumstance in which he damaged the car of the victim’s brother-in-law.
The Civil Police stated that they opened an investigation, carried out an examination and collected traces at the scene, where an arrow and a shotgun were seized, to investigate the crime.
The person who shot the arrows is still being sought by police authorities.
