Kate Middleton shares a cute photo from when she was a child

From the Kate Middleton before Prince William entered her life, there aren’t a ton of public photos. The best known is certainly the one with the transparent dress, in the fashion show in which he was noticed by the one who would then take her to the altar (and Buckingham Palace). But on Kate as a child the Middleton family has always shown a certain reservechoosing not to share too much about that phase of his life, when he was still anonymous.

Therefore, it takes on even more value the sweet photo posted on social networks by the princess: a portrait of her very small in the arms of Michael Middleton. The loving look, the hands reaching out towards the smiling face of the father, a delicious and very simple white dress with little flowers (which we are ready to bet will soon be snapped up in stores, if ever there is a model similar to this). It was taken by mom Caroledemonstrating that the attitude of personally photographing one’s children is a sort of family tradition, which Kate also follows, often preferring the shots taken by her to the official portraits for George, Charlotte and Louis.

The photo of the baby princess of Wales was shared on the Instagram account of The Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhoodto throw the “Shaping Us” campaigndesigned to raise awareness of the vital role our early years play in shaping the rest of our lives. “Faces are a child’s best toy,” reads the caption accompanying the photo of little Kate. “This weekend, we would love for all of you to spend time with your friends, families, colleagues and communities talking about your early childhood and how it has shaped your lives,” continues the message, signed on behalf of the princess. «I hope you’ll also consider joining me in sharing a picture of yourself ahead of your fifth birthday, to help the dialogue and also share some smiles and memories». Kate’s invitation, therefore, is to share a photo of her from her early childhood, with the hashtag #ShapingUs.

Kate Middleton created the Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood in 2021 as part of the Royal Foundation, through which she and her husband Prince William do much of their charitable work. The princess shared more details about the center’s mission in a video posted some time ago on the project’s Instagram page: «Our early childhood, the time from pregnancy to age five, fundamentally shapes the rest of our lives» explained Kate. “But as a society we currently devote much more time and energy to the future life. Today, the Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood is launching a new campaign, Shaping Us, to raise awareness of the impact building a caring and welcoming world around children and their caregivers can have on lives. .

In 2015, during a speech at the Head Teacher School Conference in London, Kate Middleton had also told why she had decided to devote her energies to young children: “I was lucky,” explained the princess. «My parents and teachers gave me a wonderful and secure childhoodwhere I always knew I was loved, appreciated and listened to. But of course many kids aren’t so lucky. Since the beginning of my work in areas such as addiction, for example, I have seen time and time again that the roots of ill health in adulthood are almost always present in the unresolved challenges of childhood». Hence, the willingness to work to help children when they are most fragile and vulnerable, but also more open to new knowledge and sensations.
