Kate Middleton to the women and men of the Army: “Thank you for your sacrifice”

In England today June 25 is celebrated Armed forces. An important day for the whole country and that Kate Middleton chose to honor together with the Prince William by posting a message on their official page. “Today, on the occasion of Armed Forces Day, William and I would like to pay tribute to the brave men and women, past and present, who serve in all our armed forces, at sea, on land and in the air, here in the Kingdom. United and around the world. Thank you for all that you and your families sacrifice to keep us safe“.

For the occasion, the Duchess of Cambridge has published together with her words, some images that portray her in uniform during her visit to the military base last November Pirbright Training Academy. “Last year, I was honored to spend time with the British Army to see how they train current personnel and new recruits. It was wonderful to see firsthand the many important and varied roles that the military play every day to protect us all. ”

In photos taken during her meeting with trainers and recruits, Kate Middleton experienced firsthand some exercises that the military perform during training by wearing a military helmet and climbing into a tank.

In England, Armed Forces Day has been celebrated since 2006 and coincides every year with the last Saturday of June. To anticipate the events taking place across the country for the occasion, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the new Windrush monument at Waterloo Station this week.
