Kikilias: With two Canadairs we are helping Cyprus for the devastating fires in Paphos

Our country is sending two Canadair CL-415 aircraft to Cyprus, in response to the relevant request of the Cypriot authorities through the European Civil Protection Mechanism, in order to help extinguish fires affecting the wider Pafos area. In his post on “X”, the Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Vassilis Kikilias, refers to Greece’s assistance to Cyprus, which is affected by devastating fires in the wider area of ​​Pafos, stressing that “united we will fight to deal with natural disasters and protect lives , properties and forests”. In particular, Mr. Kikilias points out in his post: “With two Canadair CL-415 aircraft, the Civil Protection of our country is helping Cyprus, which is affected by devastating fires in the wider area of ​​Paphos.
