KINAL: More than 150,000 voted for the name

The turnout in the KINAL elections for the new name is very large, since based on the data available to Charilaou Trikoupi, it is estimated that more than 140,000 voters went to the polls.

Information states that the name “PASOK – Movement for Change” with a symbol of the traditional green sun precedes by a large margin. The other option was the current “Movement for Change” with the symbol of the rose.

The full picture of the vote will be available tomorrow, while later tonight the party president Nikos Androulakis will make a statement.

The polls opened at 7 p.m. and closed at 9 p.m. after two hour extensions in the process. KINAL members and friends voted in about 600 polling stations across the country not only for the name, but also for the election of new local and prefectural committees and the election of representatives at the congress to be held on May 20-22.

With a price of 3 euros, the approximately 180 thousand members and the friends of KINAL had the right to vote. Friends of the party who voted in the December internal elections for the election of Nikos Androulakis could go to the polls today, fill out the application form and then vote for the name of the party and the election of the new Prefectural and Municipal Organizations.

The main aim was for the members of KINAL to come en masse, a fact that will confirm – as it is pointed out – that the dynamics recorded by the party lately, are stable and dynamic so that in the national elections it becomes a strong factor of post-election political correlations.

President Nikos Androulakis voted earlier in Nea Smyrni. He talked to the members of the Movement who gathered en masse at the polls from the morning to choose the name of the faction, the representatives at the upcoming congress, the members of the local and prefectural organizations.
