Kitten alerts neighbors to save her owner because she fell into a spiked ditch

When an 83-year-old woman in Bodmin, UK was reported missing, her neighbors had no idea how to find her. The group of volunteers who tried to search for her spent hours between different areas of the city without positive results.

Fortunately, her black kitten named Piran managed to alert her neighbors by meowing and guiding them into a 20-meter ditch where her owner had accidentally fallen. Although it looked like a terrible fall, Piran’s owner suffered no major injuries, as rescuers managed to find her in time.

The area was difficult to search, as you had to cross a plantation over two meters high. However, it was Tamara Longmuir, a 38-year-old woman and a neighbor of the disappeared, who found Piran meowing uncontrollably a few meters from where the ditch was located.

The cat is very attached to her and was running back and forth between the entrance to the crop and the ditch, meowing non-stop, so I followed him.

Just as I was about to turn back and search another side of the crop, I heard someone respond to my screams, it was then that I realized that my neighbor was at the bottom of the 20-meter ditch. It had gone through the barbed railing and was lying flat, I think it had been there for several hours.

Longmuir managed to get down carefully until he reached his neighbor, check that she had no serious injuries and return to seek help to remove her. The 38-year-old woman stated that her neighbor had tried to use her phone to call for help. However, in that area there was no signal.

The rescuers arrived quickly. After two hours, they managed to get her out and put her in an ambulance. If the cat hadn’t been waiting to guide us to where it was, it would have been many hours before someone would have found it.
