Kraken Launches New NFT Marketplace

One of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges, Kraken, has announced the launch of a platform for trading non-fungible tokens with 70 NFT collections based on Ethereum and Solana.

The exchange plans to attract potential NFT collectors by promising cheap or even free transactions. At the same time, Kraken stated that it is not afraid of the current situation in the NFT market – the company is confident that this asset class will forever gain a foothold in the crypto industry.

“We do not focus on temporary phenomena in the market, but are engaged in the implementation of technologies that provide financial freedom and independence,” the company said.

So far, those who signed up for the waiting list in May have gained access to the platform. Initially, 70 collections of NFTs based on Ethereum and Solana will be placed on the site. Kraken assured that the company’s strict security protocols will prevent malware from entering the platform.

“We are leveraging the proven infrastructure that has kept our clients’ crypto assets secure for the past 11 years and that will serve us in our new initiative,” the statement said.

Recall that earlier the Kraken exchange banned Russian citizens from registering on the site, following the new European legislation.
