Launch of Sunlight ‘RISE to the Challenge’ development program

On Friday, November 5, 2021, ten young engineers officially started their 18-month trip to Sunlight, as part of the “RISE to the Challenge” graduate education and employment program.

This is a pioneering initiative for training talented engineers in new generation lithium technologies. Sunlight, a technology company specializing in integrated and innovative energy storage solutions, is investing heavily in Research & Development and human resources – with an emphasis on empowering young people.

In “RISE to the Challenge” participated more than 50 graduates and postgraduate engineers of all specialties – Chemists, Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Production Engineers, etc. Following the evaluation process and interviews, ten people were selected to participate in the program.

The new colleagues will spend the next 18 months working alongside the best in the industry, in alternating 6-month terms in key departments of Sunlight – Lithium R&D, Product Management and Pre-sales, where they will have the opportunity to participate in demanding projects at the company’s premises. And in this context, to be trained, to gain valuable professional experience, and to further develop their technical and creative skills.

Commenting on the official launch of the program, the Company’s Human Resources Manager, Mr. Vassilis Gavroglou, said: Sunlight is at the forefront of the energy storage industry with significant investments, especially in lithium technologies. As part of this activity and our commitment to the development of new talents, we created the “RISE to the Challenge”. Faithful to our vision to provide knowledge-based energy and to be a source of empowerment, we take initiatives that create prospects for development and professional rehabilitation.

Participants will be evaluated upon completion of each of the three semester cycles of “RISE to the Challenge”. Those who stand out will be given the opportunity to work full time at Sunlight.

Because at Sunlight, knowledge is energy and energy is knowledge!
