The body of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was recovered on Saturday (28), a Lebanese security source told CNN this Sunday (28).
He added that the corpse was intact.
Nasrallah died on Friday (27), during an Israeli attack on what the military said was Hezbollah headquarters, in the suburbs of Beirut.
He was Hezbollah’s highest authority and had commanded the group for decades. The attack is part of a series of recent Israeli bombings against the Hezbollah leadership. And the risk of an escalation of violence in the Middle East has increased.
The Lebanese Shiite group began attacks against northern Israel on October 8, in what it said was an act of solidarity with Hamas fighters who had carried out an attack against the neighboring country that led to the death of more than 1,200 people.
