Liz Truss: Zelensky was the first foreign leader the new British Prime Minister called

Britain’s new prime minister Liz Trusshad a telephone conversation with the president of Ukraine tonight, Volodymyr Zelensky.

“I became the first foreign leader that I had contact with the newly elected Prime Minister (of Britain) Liz Truss” wrote the Ukrainian president in a post on Twitter. “I thanked the British people for the great military and financial assistance to Ukraine. It is important that Britain is ready to strengthen it further,” added Zelensky.

The president of Ukraine spoke about “common line” aimed at “increasing pressure” on Russia. “The goal is to end the attack and bring the culprits to justice,” he underlined, adding that it is important to label Russia a “terrorist state”.

THE Britain, as reported by APE-MPE, has supported her Ukraine after the start of the Russian invasion on 24 February. He sent military and financial aid to the beleaguered Ukrainian forces, who are currently fighting in the south and east of the country.
