Violence has become one of the main themes of this year's presidential campaign.

The issue of violent crime has emerged as a major one in this year's presidential race. The favorite candidate, Claudia Sheinbaum, 61, from the Morena party, the same as President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, had to answer tough questions during the campaign about the country's high homicide rate.
