Her pilots Lufthansa will not go on strike finally from tomorrow Wednesday, as it was achieved agreement at the last moment between the union Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) Mrof the administration of the airline on the issue of wage increases.
The union, as reported by APE-MPE, had announced a strike for tomorrow and Thursday for passenger aircraft and on Friday for cargo, but “an agreement was reached” and the mobilization is being called off, his spokesman said.
Lufthansa declined to comment on the deal.
The VC said the basis of a comprehensive package of wage and structural issues has been agreed, which will be fleshed out in the coming days. He did not give further details but noted that “it is enough” to abort the strike. The union was asking for 5.5% wage increases retroactive to July 1 as well as an 8.2% increase in 2023to cover losses due to increased inflation.
