Macaulay Culkin will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The actor, known for his performance in ‘Home Alone’, will be presented with the 2,765th star on the famous aisle, in a ceremony scheduled for December 1st, at 6353 Hollywood Boulevard.
“Macaulay Culkin has been a pop culture staple for decades. He has an extensive work history, but his film, “Home Alone”, is one of the best-known Christmas films in the world,” said Ana Martinez, producer of Walk of Fame.
Macaulay, who is 43 years old, and whose name will be immortalized in the Cinema category, ascended to the pantheon of success by playing Kevin McCallister in the first two comedy films, in 1990 and 1992.
Catherine O’Hara, a co-star who played the role of his mother, Kate McCallister, in both productions, will speak at the presentation ceremony, as will Natasha Lyonne, who starred with the actor in ‘Adam Green’s Aladdin’.
“It is very significant that Catherine O’Hara, who played Macaulay’s mother in the film, is reuniting with her screen son and speaking at the ceremony,” added Ana.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce manages the iconic Walk of Fame for the city of Los Angeles, and it has been a tourist attraction visited by millions of people since the 1960s.
