French President Emmanuel Macron had telephone conversations today with German Chancellor Olaf Solz, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the Champs Elysees announced.
It was also announced that Emanuel Macron had a telephone conversation with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi.
A press release issued by the presidency of the French Republic states that Emmanuel Macron condemned the military action against nuclear units in Ukraine and that both France and its international partners called for the urgent convening of the UN Security Council. Russia should immediately stop its illegal and dangerous military operations in order to enable full control by the Ukrainian state authorities of all nuclear power plants on the territory of Ukraine, the press release said.
