A 41 -year -old man, who did not have his identity disclosed, was beating and then arrested in the act by the Military Police after attacking a supermarket employee with a home spear. The case occurred last Wednesday (21) in the Pampulha region, in Belo Horizonte (MG).
According to the police report, an establishment’s inspector told the military that he saw the suspect struck the victim with the handcrafted weapon and ran to try to contain him. At this moment the aggressor threatened the inspector with the object and ran out of the scene. Already outside, popular surrounded him and began to beat him with stones, punches and kick and held him until the arrival of the police.
The victim, a 40 -year -old man, is a disabled person and had two cuts on his face. He had to be rescued and sent to João XXIII Hospital, where he underwent surgery. His health is stable and is not at risk of death.
For the police, the victim said she does not know the suspect and does not know why she was attacked by the man. Also according to the military, “when approached, the suspect presented confusing and vacant speech. He claimed that he did not remember the incident and did not have the craft spear.”
The Civil Police reported that the suspect was arrested in the act for attempted murder. Investigations are still in progress.
